This is a great 'week-ender' or first-home commuting base - a friendly village atmosphere away from HK bussle, with brilliant restaurants, walks, and sunsets!
Our apartment is basically a large, open-plan room, involving an ‘L’- shaped breakfast/bar unit creating a kitchen-dining area (with sink, electric stove, and storage), which creates a sitting-room area in the front of the room, and sleeping area at the back, with a large storage area. There is, of course, a separate toilet with non-slip flooring and shower. There is a fenced balcony at the front, outside the sitting-room window which looks out over a large village courtyard. Peng Chau South Bay beach can be seen around 100 metres to the side.
We have loved spending week-ends and longer holidays in our hideaway, but, sadly, we now need to leave HK.
The ferries to HK Island make it easy to live both a holiday island and a city life - making it a popular commuting location, due to its lifestyle and excellent value housing.
