Relive your childhood at Snoopy’s World

Growing up in Hong Kong or overseas, you’re bound to have come across Snoopy sometime in your childhood. In the past, Hong Kong people were so obsessed with Snoopy that they actually created an around the world snoopy collection at Mcdonald’s! You may not be a child anymore, but you can always relive your childhood on Snoopy’s World. Located in New Town Plaza, there are six zones of amusement full of Peanuts characters to take selfies with. There’s even a mini boat ride there, but only shoppers of New Town Plaza can ride it and you need to show your receipt to get a free ride.

lucky plaza sha tin

Eat some ghetto local food at Lucky Plaza

Located next to New Town Plaza in Sha Tin, Lucky Plaza is more down to earth compared to the fancy and luxurious New Town Plaza. Other than getting some cheap Chinese “mixed noodles” there, you can buy video games and pretty much any gadget that comes to mind there. If you look carefully enough, you can even find some rare products that existed a lifetime ago.

shatininn sha tin

Chill out with monkeys and munch on some legit Indonesian satay at Sha Tin Inn

Located between Sha Tin and Tai Wai, Sha Tin Inn may be a little far out, but it’s definitely worth a visit. Sha Tin Inn has been around since the 70’s, when Hong Kong was still a land of rice fields. Although it’s technically located next to the highway, visitors are surrounded by trees and tranquility at the outdoor patio. Chill out and enjoy some legit Indonesian satay ($100 per tray), while watching monkeys jump around in the neighbouring hill!
