4/21 News Roundup: Eight Regency First Batch of 118 Flats Sold Out, Henderson to Launch Two Hong Kong Island Projects

Hong Kong Property | April 21, 2017

Eight Regency First Batch of 118 Flats Sold Out
Eight Regency by Sun Hung Kai Properties attracted more than 2,500 prospective buyers when the first batch of 118 units at this Tuen Mun project went on sale at 7pm on Thursday. Market sources said all 118 flats had been sold as of 10:30pm. Eight Regency is the third project put up for sale since the Hong Kong government issued a new policy last Wednesday. Any local first-time buyer of multiple units in one contract must now pay a 15% stamp duty for each flat. The new policy closed a legal loophole left open since November. Sources said there was no multiple-unit transaction yesterday.

Henderson to Launch Two Hong Kong Island Projects
Henderson Land named its new projects as Novum West in Sai Wan, and Novum East in North Point. The projects will provide a total of 1,000 units, with presales at Novum West expected to kick off in May. Novum West located in Sai Wan neighbouring HKU Station will provide 600 units. The developer hopes to upload sales brochure and open show flats by this month. Meanwhile, Novum East will provide 400 units and both projects will mainly provide studios to two-bedroom units.
