No matter you are a working class or a student, I believe you enjoy working at home remotely because it really has its own perks, like saving traveling time, feeling utterly comfortable since you are in your pajamas and don’t have to care about how you sit or how you look, and having flexible working hours! But if you’ve tried before, you would know that snuggling in bed with your laptop might somehow make your arms or neck tired after a few hours. So, how about constructing your own chic, relaxing and productive home-working area? Here are some tips for you!

  1. Inspiration Board
An inspiration board in workspace is always a good idea. It does not only remind you about your to-do list, but also serves as a visual muse! It doesn’t matter if you are the creative kind of person or not because as long as you randomly put a lot of things on it, adding in some colors by using washy tapes, it will look great on the wall eventually. You can include all sorts of things on it, ranging from positive quotes, personal photos, to your handcrafts, totally up to you. The main point is to make yourself feel motivated when you stare at it and inspire you to work hard for your bright future.

  2. Candles
Cozy vibes are just so important when it comes to working at home. Lighting up a candle with amazing smell just add a lot more ambience to your home office. Be careful with the scent of candles you choose! For making you concentrate on your work, candles that are more refreshing and with sour scents are recommended! For example, sugared lemon zest, bergamot mint, white tea & pear, and wild sage & aloe, these are all the suitable ones! Try them and you’ll know why the candle trend in Hong Kong is so prevalent now.

  3. Curtains
It is a sure thing that you have a cupboard or open shelves in your home office to store all your books and documents. Sometimes you might find it quite messy, you know putting the big and small books altogether and the folders are not of the same sizes. So you need curtains! Curtains can hide everyday office clutter on the shelves and soften the room simultaneously. You can choose the one with the best texture and your favorite pattern on it too! It just decorates your room and makes it looks neat and tidy instantly.

However, you know that we are always influenced by the lazy devil in our bodies, thus not following our plans effectively. Therefore, it is always better to have a planner that clearly states your deadlines and goals. In such way, your productivity will surely be speeded up! What makes it more fun is that you can design your own planner! Putting it on your desk simply makes the area more you!
